Ever-Ready question

Hello folks,
I picked up an Ever-Ready C40 brush today and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they are still being manufactured and if not, what year they quit making them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The Burma Shave brush is the descendant of the Ever Ready C40 from the mid to late 1960s on until recently, with the reorganization of ASR into Energizer/Schick, the then Chinese produced product faded into oblivion. You can still find the Chinese version on e-Bay but the knot is clearly an inferior one.

Introduced in 1915, they are still produced today as "Burma Shave" brushes.

Thanks! It looks just like that brush, but was in a box labeled Ever-Ready. I found it tucked away in a drug store and it looked like it had been there for sometime. The packaging looked pretty faded anyway. Didn't know if it was something still made, or if it had just been there for ages.
Thanks everyone for the info!

Check the box for a bar code. That generally means it was produced by the late-late 70s or early 80s. Check to see if the handle says Made in the U.S.A. on the underside (even if it says imported hair/bristle on the box). If the packaging looks like it’s 60s or 70s, it might really be that old.

The last time I saw Ever Ready brushes for sale in stores was in the '80's. And it wasn't dusty stock.

This is what it looks like.

Here is the Chinese version of that handle.
These can still be used to upgrade, they just don't have cache of the US made handles.

I bought a Burma Shave brush on sale at a local store to retrofit with a synthetic knot about 3 years ago.
The handle was thin plastic not like the US made versions which is thick plastic and had some weight to it.
It still had a boar knot, but even worse than prior offerings.

Like the bright buttery-cream color with the crimson red, but it's disappointing to hear that the Chinese version is thin plastic. The gold collar is maybe tacky, and that's a matter of personal taste.
