I've heard of people putting essential oils in their witch hazel as well as some creams and such to enhance the smells. Where do people typically buy these oils from? Is this something you get locally or from an online site? I figured I would like a witch hazel that doesn't smell like cheap tequila.

You can usually get them at health stores/vitamin shops such as GNC or Vitamin World. Last time I was at GNC I noticed they had about 15 types of EOs in stock.
I use peppermint EO in my aftershave, which is a concoction of witchhazel, aloe vera gel, and glycerin.
