EJ Sea Buckthorn question

I was in Pasteur yesterday and smelled the EJ Sea Buckthorn cream - wonderful! But I like soaps better (and it was a lot cheaper), so I bought the soap. Used it today - great lather, performed very well. But - it seems like a completely different fragrance from the cream. Has anyone else noticed this? Are they really two different scents or is my nose adjusted wrong?

The soap smells very much like green apples. The cream was hard to describe - but definitely not this fruity.

Thanks,
Michael

YMMV! The soap scent wasn't as strong as the shave cream but they were very similar. As for the scent, I would go for "fruity" also.

Very fruity. As a general rule, creams have (or can have and retain) stronger scents than soaps. There are the odd exceptions, but as a general rule, it usually holds.

Never smelt the cream but SWMBO reckons the soap is her fave scent out of all my kit.

And it's a freaky good soap too...

I've tried both the soap and the cream. And yes, they are different scents to me.
The soap's scent is definitely "fruity" - and I prefer it to the cream. :)

Hm, now you're making me want to try the soap. I've tried a couple of samples of the cream and wasn't very excited about the scent. The smell starts something grassy to me and then goes a bit citrusy. The EJ Sandalwood soap is on my top 5 list.

Haven't smelled the cream, but whipped up my new EJ Sea Buckthorn soap for the first time yesterday...to my nose the forward scent is combo of orange/cantaloupe with subtle undertones of woodsie-piney scents and ends with a whiff of ocean sea salty air :001_smile...I really like it

I have a sample of the Sea Buckthorn cream and you are right, it is a strong scent of green apple that comes first, then the scent slides into more citrusy. I am not very excited about the scent either, and the performance is ... a bit dry. I like the AS balm, not bad.
