Edwin jagger de89 plating issue

Just received my DE89 and there is a fair amount of what looks like plate loss on the bottom of the handle. I feel petty about trying to get it exchanged but I know it is going to bug me big time. What would you do?

Absolutely...they have some of the best fit and finishes around. It should not come new like that.

I'm not sure the picture is conveying what you're seeing but yeah, if there's anything wrong with it, send it back. The chrome finish on my EJ DE89 is flawless.

As a new razor, it should be without imperfections, no matter how small. EJ quality is renowned so send it back without question.

Thanks for the reply guys, I decided I would get it exchange and not try live with it. With that in
mind I had more confidence in trying to get whatever may be stuck on it if it wasn't a plating issue. Low and behold scratching it with my nail started removing whatever it was. I feel an idiot now! I wonder what it could have been? Was a pain to get off as well, looked exactly like the plate loss on my SS. Good news is I can use it now for tonights shave! Really is a stunning razor.
