Ebay brushes

I was on ebay and saw cheap badger brushes and I was curious if these are real or a cheap knock offs using some cheap mystery hair?

you can find cheap, decent "quality" brush for about 17 dollars shipped on ebay, but not all brushes listed are quality though.

Ebay is a great place to buy old, antique brushes, and restore them, just using the handle and put a nice new knot in.

If you're on a budget, and you need a decent first brush for everyday use, I'd look elsewhere. There are some really good brushes to be had for less than $30. Most of the best boars you can buy are less than that. Now, if you've already got a brush that works for you, and you've got some money to blow, then go for it! You might like a floppy, lightly packed brush for when... eh...

I bought two of the (shall knot be named) butterscotch, finest badger brushes and have been shaving with them for three weeks. For the money they are hard to compete with. I lost very few hairs. The hair is not quite up to the quality of TGN finest badger, but at $19 for each for a butterscotch badger, delivered, its a best buy.

Another alternative is one of the $10 boar brushes from Shoeboxshaveshop or West Coast Shaving. They are very effective and will last for years.

FYI: Buy only the FS finest or silvertip badger.

Badger hair varies a lot. Just because a brush is badger doesn't make it good. A $20 boar is almost always a better brush than a $20 badger.
