The famous Razorock Hive 24. My first synthetic.
I really like this brush. For those of you looking (I think it's been said a million times), this has absolutely no relationship to a Badger. No comparison can be made whatsoever. However, I am preferring it to my badgers, at least right now.
It's springy as hell with considerably more backbone than any badger brush I've ever used. I was very concerned it would be more floppy than my first cheap EJ badger (and boy was it floppy), but it most definitely isn't. Very springy and requires significant pressure to get it to splay. I don't have a problem with this at all. I'm a face latherer, so there is a significant amount of adjustment as far as face feel.
I was concerned it would feel very plasticky, like using a cheap paint brush, but that hasn't been my experience at all. It's pretty stiff, and makes excellent lather. I'm nowhere near used to it yet, but it get's better every day. I'm sure there are thousands of options, but for $20.00 I don't think you can go wrong.
I may change my mind in the future, but thank goodness we have so many options.
