eBay brush

There is a brush on eBay with the following description:

"Very clean still in the original box. It was made in the U.S.A.. For Rooney Brushes London England."

It is a fairly pedestrian vintage brush, in a Rooney box. Not a Rooney. Buyer beware.

Disclaimer: There is no link to a live auction. I have posted this to assist anyone new to the game so they do not buy something they may believe to be a Rooney brush, as it is not. I do not believe this violates our policy regarding live auctions.

I hope it doesnt violate anything, this is pretty important. Did you email the seller and make sure he knows he's not selling what he thinks he is?

That's a Rex 250 if anyone cares.

Definitely not a Rooney.

It's labeled Rex Clearly on the bottom (conveniently cropped out of seller's pic). Either seller doesn't know brushes and just made a very convenient coincidental crop of his image, or he's a tool and deserves all our shame and ridicule.

On another (lighter?) note. Someone is selling a B&B LE on the bay (starting bid 50$) They call it the Second edition, which was before my time, but I'm sure people know more about that than I do and may be interested.

I noticed that as well. I also saw the B&B Essential, and have that same brush. It's a good brush, but in finest, not in silvertip as the seller states. I sent a message and they responded as such:

"No, not an active member overthere,I was for a while when I picked this up. Ive found the brush that I like to use now so im getting rid of some of the stuff that I dont need and sence I dont post on B&B anymore im not selling on there."

Not sure who it is though...

So I messaged the seller, and here is the response I received:

"Thank you so much I did not know I hope that I was able to correct it I am new on eBay and really thank you for the help you gave me"

So there you have it. A decent eBay seller. Fortunately, I find more of those than the other kind.
