Had another go with my E3 2 Band today.... probably one of the best brushes out there... super soft tips with nice backbone... great flow through - a delight... glad I got it before MAP...

Simpson 2 Band is the only grade I developed a weakness for... Now with prices up 30+% I will probably refocus on Thäter 2 Band... Well - there are still one or two Simpson 2 Band brushes I could get weak: PJ3 and ivory M7 2 Bands

Wow, another great brush! You must be in heaven with your two-bands. Enjoy.
I couldn't take it. I'd been debating this brush for a few weeks, staring at the specs, comparing it to other brushes - had been on the brink of buying it several times and decided to fight the AD. German's photos were the final straw. The thought of this brush haunted me all day, and woke me up in the middle of the night. So, I caved in and ordered it. Guess I can share my impressions too, sometime the end of the week =D 2bBBAD is a killer!

Sorry for enabling... Post some pictures when you got it... The secret is the loft. The spec is 50mm but you may end up with anything between 48-54mm. The shorter the scrubbier. I guess I like mine as much because of its higher loft. Given it is a 2 Band it doesn't feel floppy as a 3 Band for sure would be with these measures. Good luck!
No worries! I'd have lost to the AD sooner or later and just wanted an excuse! The E3 arrived today and it is definitely a delight. I had always had a feeling I'd love the handle shape and I do, feels perfectly comfortable. Mine is a little closer to spec, 52 mm loft and just about right on in knot diameter. There's no scrubby feeling, just the good firm backbone with soft massaging tips that make 2 band so attractive.
