e-shave: gives me an odd feeling

I've been slightly intrigued with e-shave products, and I don't really know what to think of them. I don't really agree with the modern, chic image they're marketting. I know this may be too harsh of a word, but it feels almost... blasphemous. I can't really put my finger on it, but it feels wrong.

Thoughts?

Hm, I dont know much about the eshave marketing strategies, but I have used one of their producsts and thought it to be pretty good. The avocado soap is very nice.

Yes, they're definitely going for a modern/hip image.

I do like their aftershave balms, particularly the green tea balm.

I can't fault them for marketing to the younger crowd. How is a brand new company suppposed to compete with the 3 T's for the older British gentlemen's trade (for example).

The important question is; how is their product? I have only tried the mandarin SS and, I must say, I am extremely impressed. It smells great and it lathers up exactly the way you would want: Thick, slick and and quick.

Get yourself a puck -- you might like it!

gone down south

You can either appeal to the older crowd or the younger crowd, and the older crowd isn't much of a growth market.

E-shave was founded from ex-AOS employees. I think they are also trying to compete with their step-sibling.

I don't care about their marketing strategy as long as their products work. And they do, even without the Royal Warrants.

So, they have a modern image. They make quality products which is what counts.

Their creams are excellent and some of the scents are fantastic. The White Tea is phenomenal. The Cucumber smells just like fresh cucumbers, if you like that scent. The balms are very moisturizing, but I find them to be a bit too thick. Great for those with dry skin.

I have to agree with all these points.

The eshave aftershave soother is a very nice product. I wasn't expecting much of it, but after using it awhile, it's on of my top 3 balm type products. Welsey and Scott, and Anherb conditioner being the other two.

Avocado soap? Sounds very nice. I might give that a try.

Okay, I suppose I agree with everybody; image aside, they look to me like they make good products. Also, I love avocados.

Huh, well ain't that something?

yeah, the white tea stuff smells great too.

its funny, eshave rarely gets a mention around here

I've always been intrigued by the white tea, good to hear it smells good, maybe I'll try it. I've actually got a sample of their floral cream I've yet to try, and sample of their unscented balm.

It is a shame that they don't get much mention, because as this thread is proof of, their products certainly seem to be of good quality, and they are well priced too.

As for their marketing. I don't care either way, if it works then it works! Also, it is nice to have a bit of a change from the more traditional products.

I always want to try their stuff, but the only carrier around here is a store that just sells fancy men's underwear and some grooming products. I never feel comfortable in there, and the fact that so far all I have done is sniff some shaving creams and dart out doesn't help my projected image. Their creams at least smell great (but I think their brushes are hideous).
