It looks to hold about 12 ounces or a cup and a half, and I've had no problem holding the heat. Every one of his scuttles is one of a kind as to finish he makes 3 scuttle designs a brush scuttle for 15 this scuttle for 18 and a bigger bowled scuttle for 20 I'm enjoying this 18 dollar scuttle and it has plenty of lathering room in the bowl, if you miss this scuttle he replaces them as he sells them and usually has one or two scuttles at a time posted
Thats a rather pretty scuttle, I like the pattern on it.
I bought one of his early scuttles off of Ebay. It was a great price ($20 delivered) and it performs on a par with the Dirty Bird scuttle I bought a few months later.
I just ordered on of his scuttles in a beautiful blue and white color scheme. I will post pics when it arrives. ($20)

Christmas must have wiped out his whole stock he's got nothing posted keep checking i'm sure it will come back up.
robert becker is a great guy to do business with. I bought one of his scuttle for 18 dollars and think it is excellent. I used it everyday.
The reason his scuttles are so cheap is because he uses a mold to make the scuttle instead of "hand thrown" It takes less time thus making them very affordable. Ceramics made this way are just as good as hand thrown as well.
