Drilling out an atomizer

Has anybody had any luck or has another idea on how to get the cologne out of an atomizer ?

I discovered a bottle that was hidden away under the counter that SWMBO had gotten for me a few years ago.

It's an expensive bottle of cologne, by Gucci.

I hate atomizers and trued twisting the top off with the channel locks but no joy.

My next thought was to get a metal bit and try to drill a hole down through the atomizer thingie.

Has anyone ever done this or see any reason that it won't work ?

What about decanting it into a donor bottle with a Basting Syringe?
The tip is small enough to fit down an atomizer pick up tube and is pretty sturdy.
They are not sharp.
They come in pretty large sizes.
Check your local Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I have cut/broken the top off of a bottle of cologne with a glass cutter when the spray pump stopped working. There were little bits of glass but I just poured it through a funnel I lined with a coffee filter and then used the cologne.
