drilling holes in rams horn, hole size?

I bought some pre made rams horn scales, they are undrilled on the pivot side. Are there any recommendations for drill sizes?

They came with a standard size pin so how much wider than the pin can the drilled hole be? I'm assuming the pivot shouldn't be too loose or tight so there is an optimum size of hole.
