Nice 22mm knot on the chrome Dovo brush, but they set it with too much loft for my tastes...plus, you can't stand it up on its' end!

So, off to the lathe with it!

After the butchery and horror, I re-mounted it in a pink ivory and aluminum handle with about 47mm of loft now

Very nice remake.

Shortening the loft on most production pieces seems like an excellent idea.

Dang, I kind of like the old handle. The new one is much nicer though. Too bad the old one can't be reused.

The old handle felt good when using it, some nice heft. But not being able to stand in between passes, and whatnot, it had to go...

Why haven't you preferred selling the whole brush and buy a TGN knot for your handle?

In the other hand, what kind of material is "pink ivory"? In the picks seems more like wood.

In the other hand, what kind of material is "pink ivory"? In the picks seems more like wood.

I got the brush for about what I'd have paid for one of the nicer TGN knots (one of my other brushes has a TGN UK knot, and it's great), and the quality on the Dovo knot is nice and soft as well, so I went with it.
