I got some Domincia Bay Rum for pretty cheap yesterday and was wondering if it had the same effect as alcohol on some people which is irritation?

Dominica has a bunch of alcohol in it. It's the alcohol that has the same effect as the alcohol ;-) (55.5% alcohol in my Dominica with Lime).
Krampert's Acadian Spice Bay Rum has very low alcohol. (All of the others I've tried are much higher -- Captain's Choice, Meehan's, Pinaud's VIBR, Superior 70, Masters....)

The most gentle and moisturizing Bay Rum I've used is Ogallala (NOT the double-strength).
Shake well, the oils separate quickly.
That one is my go-to when my skin isn't QUITE asking for Skin Food or a balm.
Ya, Pinaud? Every Pinaud product that I own has a healthy burn... VIBR maybe a bit more intense.

I have some what sensitive skin and Alcohol AS is the best possible thing for me to use! Except it does dry my skin in the winter time...
I will second Krampert's Bay Rum. Low alcohol and very moisturizing, for a splash!
Pinaud? I have clubman and it definitely has a healthy alcohol content. It also leaves my face feeling wonderful!

Alcohol affects me like that. When I have too much alcohol I become irritating.
