Do any shaving cream fragrances stay with you, like a cologne?

I have been wondering this for a while... some of the shaving soaps and creams I have used have a great fragrance to them, and I love the smell while I am shaving. But after the rinse the scent is gone. Are there any shaving soaps or creams that have scents that stay with you after the shave is done? I imagine there probably are, but I just haven't worked my way through the million or so varieties out there yet. Maybe by the one year marker... :wink2:

Granted there are some soaps that smell nice in the moment while shaving, but I wouldn't want to smell like that any longer than the shave... but there are some that would be nice to have a hint of as the day went on. Like how your hair kind of smells like the shampoo you wash with or whatever.

I couldn't decide if this question should go under the category of Shaving Soaps, Shaving Creams or Fragrances... so I just put it here... thanks in advance for the smelly truth! :thumbup1:

I don't think there are any soaps or creams that would have their scent last that long. Especially when you take into account the final rinse washes away any remnants.

I know this isn't the case for ALL of the creams and soaps, but if one of the ones you like has a respective edc or aftershave, would that work? I know some can tend to be overbearing, but some might work out.

Ive found that the TOBS Avocado cream sticks with me a while, but it's not much of a cologne and not my favorite scent. It is however refreshing.

I have a job that requires a bit of labor and once you start to sweat you will smell the Tabac coming out of you.

+1 on TOBS sandalwood. Used it yesterday, could detect a very pleasant hint a couple hours later. There was this surprisingly bad Indian cream that lingered for a week, wreaked havoc on my senses and appetite. Had to sniff coffee for a day to get rid of that incense note.

Hirsute

Used to have fun with Commander Yellow Pantyhose
Irisch Moos cream stays with me for a while. So does TOBS Jermyn Street.

Never used it myself, but a good deal of the reviews on amazon about TOBS Sandalwood that were less flattering were about how the scent of it is too strong and lingers for a while.

Like a cologne? I can't answer for certain but it seems extremely unlikely.

+1

I suspect products that linger for any more than a few minutes are going to be few, and far between. That is simply not the goal of shaving soap, shaving cream, or even bath soap.

Fridays are Fishtastic!
Don't do cream, but Speick is one soap I can still smell four hours later (that is a good thing, IMO)
