Discussion Thread For Mystic Water Soap Review - Lily Of The Valley

Bo Derek and Nadia Comaneci rolled into one?

Nice review!
Not sure I could give 10s right across the board but I'm still a noob. There's still a wide world of stuff there to try for me, but right now Mystic Waters soap is #1.

I'm glad you posted this review. First I agree, Mystic Water is fantastic. The two questions I was going to post, you answered. First, did anyone have a mass produced brand better than mystic water or mikes, and second did others, like myself, not use aftershave with these two products? Sounds like you're in my boat on both questions.

Thank you lads. When you get down to these brass tacks sort of reviews you really are working in Nth degree variables. There will be men who find that extremely narrow margin of what is best comes from a different product. In my case, Mystic Water is the best overall shave soap I have used. Price, performance, scent. You get the drift. Again, opinion rules here.

Cheers, Todd

PS In all my time doing this I had never given a product across the board tens. Till now.

Great review, Todd! MW LotV is one of my easiest lathering soaps and one of my favorite scents. Michelle gave me a test sample months back. I was hoping for a different scent at the time, but oh well, I thought.

It turns out that this scent blew me away. It rapidly became my number 2 soap (behind Tabac) for both scent and performance. After acquiring many, many more soaps and creams, it still holds the No. 2 spot.

Thanks again chaps. It really was an easy review for me. When I first used the product(full retail version) I liked it but thought it would not be knocking my regular top shelf soaps out of contention. But after about ten uses I realised this soap really is close to my Grail soap. It just works for me and the overall effect is unmatched. In a way I am disappointed. I never wanted that day to happen. I suppose now I can justify more soap purchases while honestly saying I am looking for something to depose the king. I mean, I think that's honest. It is honest...isn't it? On second thought don't answer that.

Cheers, Todd

Wow...an artisan product that scores 10's across the board from one of our most discerning members? I'm not sure I can bring myself to trying it but the fact that Todd gives it such stellar marks lends great credibility to this review. I've not known him to toss around glorious compliments without merit. Maybe 2013 will be a time for me to discover my "artisanal" period. Thanks for the review Todd....always interesting reads.
