Discussion thread for my review of Proraso foam

I use that Proraso foam once a while when im in a hurry to shave,
it's not bad but it's not halfway protective as the cream and you need a lot of foam to get a good cushion, so i would say it's not bad , but not good either.

That's pretty much the conclusion I came to as well. It gets the job done and it's good as far as canned foam goes, but not as good as the creams and soaps we all know and love.
Wanted to revive this as I do have a can of this for the quickie shaves and this morning was one of those...
I think I like the smell and menthol feel of it better than the actual effect of it. It is a bit dry and definitely cools your face but not in the lasting way the cream does. I also found that unless it's really an emergency quick shave, cream and brush is always better hands down. Turns out today didn't need to be as quick as I made it, and I'm sort of paying for it....

Is this the exact same stuff as the Proraso foam they sell at Bath & Body Works? Different packaging...

I agree with whinylittlerunt, the scent and menthol effect are definitely more potent. The funny thing is, if I use this with a DE, my face will bump up. With a Gillette sensor that doesn't happen. I guess it could be due to the spring loaded blades of the sensor, though.
