Today morning's shaving ritual was a disaster. Monday morning blues, perhaps?
Had a good face prep. 2 day old stubble. My daughter says - dad, your beard is pointy !
Used the Proraso Green Soap (in tub) with a HJM pure badger brush. Used a 10 cm x 3 cm black ceramic bowl to lather. The proraso did not give me the slickness I am used to with a Wilkinson tube. Added more shaving soap + careful amounts of water.... Still turned out to be thin. Then, I accidently dropped the bowl in the basin filled with water.... Had to re-lather and prep my face again. Spent 2-3 minutes bowl lathering and then transferring to my face.
The new Merkur blade did not feel sharp...
The Merkur 38c barberpole suddenly felt too heavy for my hands..... I almost reached out to the Mach 3 lying in the closet..
Now, I have got horrible red blisters on the lower part of the cheek (near the jawline) - both sides... Tried to dowse the fires with a Nivea white ASB, followed by Pitralon...
What should I do now? Chuck the blade and go for another one? Don't shave for the next 2-3 days? Wait for my Shavemac which is in the mail...?
I'm pretty mad at myself today...

and red cheeks all over. Witch hazel and AS did nothing to it. I'm not shaving tomorrow and maybe not even the day after tomorrow
