DIfference between Nivew AS Balm / Creme?

I was traveling through Europe last week and picked up a Nivea AS Balm and an AS Creme (besides some other goodies!). The balm comes in a glass bottle and is thinner and more 'milky' while the creme is in a tube and is more, well, creamy.

Besides the consistency and packaging, is there any difference in the usage of these two? Are there any specific reasons why I might use one against the other?

Both are fabulous by the way, and with a 2+1 offer got an extra bottle free.

Cheers,

Sid

Edit: Title should read Nivea

Anyone? In case it is obvious on the packaging, the ones I have are written in Dutch, (which I do not understand :)) hence the question.

I can't really comment on the difference between the two seeing as to how I've only used the balm but I guess they'd work the same. I would use the balm, myself, because its watery consistency would probably make it easier to rub into the skin.

I figure the only way for you to know for sure would be to shave and use one and then shave and use the other.

Best,

I can't help you with the difference either, but I use the Nivea for Men Replenishing Post-Shave Balm on cold, windy days. It is better on these days than even the Speick Splash on (don't know about their balm) or any of the alcohol-based shaves.

I've used both and they both moisturize and protect well. The more aqueous consistency on the balm feels more soothing upon application for me. I usually use it when I'm not using another aftershave with a fragrance. The sensitive balm has a bit of a fragrance that may interfere with other aftershaves. The moisturizer for sensitive skin in the tube I get locally is fragrance free, so I apply it on days when I use another scented aftershave.

Moe, I notice that both the Balm and Creme have alcohol in them - I could feel it while using so I checked the label - even though it's in Dutch it said Alcohol Denat. Is the one you are using alcohol free?

I apologize if my wording implied it didn't have alcohol. Indeed, the primary ingredient in Speick AS splash is alcohol, followed by aqua (water, I assume).

Have used both the cream and balm, diffrence is that the cream is alot more moisturizing.
@Moe: I would recommend the cream over the balm for those cold and windy days

Thanks! I appreciate the advice and will put that on my wish list.
