Diferences between finest & best knots?

I would like opinions from you guys that know what is the difference between the (badger) finest and best knots? I'm not sure which way to go. I want serious backbone without prickly tips. Soft or scrubby tips is ok.

Brush companies use different, and sometimes inconsistent, terms to describe the various grades of badger hair.
There is no real uniformity in the industry. As a result, one company's "Best" hair will differ greatly from another company's.
With that said, if you want good backbone with soft tips, I would look at Simpsons Best brushes and Rooney's Heritage line.
