DFS/BBS variation between razor types (OC CC)?

I use a CC (EJ89l or Weber ARC) razor with relative ease and am able to achieve DFS/BBS without difficulty.
I have recently started practicing with my OC razor (Tradere) and at best can achieve DFS.

The interesting observation I have made is 12-24 hours later in terms of the nature of stubble. The OC stubble is less 'scratchy' even though the initial shave is not as smooth as the CC.

Am I being too timid with the OC initially i.e what can I do to get closer to BBS nirvana with the OC razor? Angle? Pressure?

Blades lay flatter in the Tradere, so you'll need to adjust your angle. This should affect the way your stubble is cut, (possibly) leading to less scratchy stubble. The DE89 and Weber are also more forgiving when it comes to angles. You shouldn't need pressure with any razor. I don't even use it with my DE89.
