DE Razor and Blade Combinations that work well for you

What are some razor and blade combinations that work well for you? Here are some of mine.

1. Fatboy with a Feather, or a Gillette 7'Clock Sharp (yellow), or Astra SP (I vary the setting for each)
2. Slant with a Feather
3. Gillette Old Type with SuperMax SuperPlatinum
4. Ranger Tech with Astra SP
5. Gillette New long comb with SuperMax SuperPlatinum
6. Red Tip Superspeed with Astra SP

Just found this combination the other day that worked amazingly, Gillette new improved tuckaway with a Gillette Rubie

This will be totally against the grain, but I don't notice much difference between a given blade in one razor or the other. I find differences between blade brands (not huge), but I don't really see the razor changing a given blade's characteristic much, if at all. A good blade is good in all razors. A bad one, bad in all razors. My faves are Feather, Gillette Black/Blue, and SI's, and they work great (and the same) everywhere.

I enjoy Feathers in an Aristocrat Jr., AS-D1 or a '46 Milord, '47 Super Speed as well as Vintage Merkur and Hoffritz slants.
My Astra and Derby blades probably need dusted off if I could remember where I put them.

Oh yeah and Rockets and Feathers are a nice combo....

I've really liked the EJ89/Derby Extra combination, and the Bakelite slant with ASPs, Gillette 7 O'Clock Blacks, or Gillette Silver Blues.

YMMV ... but that's my take-of-the-day.

Even though I have 10+ DE's in my rotation; the Slant HD and a Feather is still my number one choice;

I'm having really good luck with EJ DE89, Muhle R89 and Feather blades.

I stick the sharper blades into the milder razors and the milder blades into the razors that show more blade.

After all, it's not rocket science, it's just whisker whacking

Yep, once addicted to Feather blades the rotation ends.

I find a Feather blade in an Edwin Jagger DE89L works wonderfully well.

The two that stand out for me are:

1. Slim and Astra SP
2. Flare tip SS and red pack Israeli Personna

But really I have a number of blades that work well in those razors.
