Davidoff Flake Medallions vs Peter Stokebby luxury bullseye flake

i have tried the PS flake and i hear the Davidoff Flake Medallions is a copy or the same company , but tastes a little sweeter can i hear a few comments as i am considering buying some

I have both and really enjoy both. I've read that they are the same, but that's not so clear to me. I had the Davidoff first, and tried some bulk Bullseye to see if they were the same. Definitely not the same in that comparison. Later I bought some 4yo Bullseye, and it has way more in common with the Flake Medallions, but it's still hard to say they're the same. I don't doubt they're made in the same facility using the same process, but the Flake Medallions have considerably more age on them, at the very least. Fresh out of a recent tin, I very much prefer the Davidoff. But, with age on it, the Bullseye holds its own. I stoved a couple of jars of the 4yo Bullseye, however, and this may be my favorite. I bought another tin of Davidoff to cellar away, and I'm guessing it will be phenomenal with some years on it.

i knew i could count on you , you got me into this stuff, i am very picky on the baccy i get and this one has a good quality and i ordered some more of both , and it will store for a few years , based on my smoking habits, thanks

The Flake Medallions will give you a good idea of what the Bullseye Flake will become.. I didn't get any of the fresh hay notes from the Davidoff tin, and they're almost gone in the aged Bullseye.. they're very present in the recent bulk Bullseye. The Flake Medallions has a very rich, wine-like tin aroma, as does the aged Bullseye Flake... hope that made sense, I'm heading out in a minute, so I'm writing too fast!

i got some of both coming in the mail, i had a pipe load yesterday of the bullseye it was very mellow and the taste changes at times, the perique is just as it should be, if it is what i am tasting, kinda a spicy.peppery note , anymore would be annoying but it was just enough they say the medallions are more sweeter, , i have 50 gr coming if i like it i ail get more-- and 4 oz of bulls (this will be stashed for a couple of years)

Nice! I've found that the peppery note is slightly mellowed over time.. or maybe it's just the Virginias getting bigger and rounder around the perique.. either way, the spicy note seems less sharp in the aged bullseye vs. the fresher stuff.

Hirsute

Used to have fun with Commander Yellow Pantyhose
I like the PS navy flake a lot, but the bulls eye is still my favorite.
