Dating a Gillette black handle adjustable?

Can anyone give me a little help? I just picked up a gillette black handle adjustable. It has a black plastic base and no date stamps. All it has is the number "2" on the base. Any ideas when this was made?

The black handled Super Adjustable was made from 1969-1986. Around 1977 they got the plastic bottom plate. They should have a date code. See the Wiki:

The date code from the Super-Adjustable with black plastic bottom plate (1977-1986) is on the bottom plate inside the head:

Thanks razor, i just assumed it was on the outside of the base plate.
