£250 for a razor you can't even buy blades for? He's welcome to that one. (Are they even cobalt steel as claimed in the auction?)

I didn't realize that cobalt steel was superior to nickel-plated brass...which incidentally is working just fine for me. But they are nice looking razors if you like that look. I'd like to know how many were produced and still around.

I just checked ebay for cheap British Aristocrats... £400 with four days left? Oh my! How much were they selling for before?

Here you go Connie. I was watching it. I have never seen a Darwin travel pouch and even though its a Standard and not a Deluxe, I'm surprised it went for so little. It was even here in the U.S. so no haggling about overseas shipping. I will never understand these prices.

Darwin Standard in travel case (which I haven't seen before) for $476 tonight.

The leather travel pouch looks like it's a generic type of thing. I have at least one of those with another razor entirely.

Looking at the picture, it looks like there's damage. Looks like it's missing a piece of the safety bar. Look at the teeth right in the middle of the bar. I've never seen one that looks like it has a missing chunk out of the safety bar.

There's maybe an alignment problem too. Look at the right side of the razor compared to the left. Maybe the damage is to the top cap, maybe the bottom plate or perhaps the alignment of the screw. The right side of the cap is sitting higher up than the left.

$476 for what looks like a very damaged razor is a high number.
