I've been using fountain pens since college. I even used fountain pens for taking Calculus notes in grad school. Pens show confidence while pencils show uncertainty.
I have acquired quite a few pens over the years but stopped using them as most of my work is in computers and I type instead of write anymore. It got to the point where I would ink a pen, use it once, and then the next time I needed it it would be dried out.
Well no more. Like other members of the Shave Sabbatical, I've been looking for alternate ways to satisfy my shopping urges. There was/is entirely too much chatter about the NiB on the Shave Sabbatcal thread. I found my old pens and cleaned a couple out and remembered the joys of the nib. Of course I needed some fresh supplies - some fresh inks, some fountain pen friendly paper (I'm a fan of Rhodia), and maybe some newer pens. Of course, this has turned into NAD - Nib Acquisition Disorder. I've got a couple of new pens to add to my Libelles, Mabie Todds, Watermans, Parkers, Shaeffers, and others.
Guess I'll be spending more time in this forum as well. Sigh...
