D.R. Harris wood bowl sticker

I have an extremely petty question barely worth a view or response. For those of you that have the D.R Harris soap bowls, do you remove the top round sticker? Thanks

Nope. Pretty sure everyone leaves it on, myself included.

I just make a clean cut where the lid meets the bowl and leave the entire label, straps and all.

I did that, too, with my D.R. Harris lavender. Bought a used tub of GFT rose some time ago on a b/s/t; the original owner tried to remove the strap and top logo. He made a complete hash of it, and it really looks a mess.

I leave the round part but cut the straps off. I use something like goo gone to take off any leftover glue residue.

No, not me. The two little labels connecting the bowl and lid are about to go away, but the top label remains in good shape.

I remove it. As with anything else here, do what works for you.

How are you sure about that? This thread has already made it pretty clear already that everyone does not. Be careful assuming that what you do is what everyone else does (in other words, keep YMMV in mind).

I carefully peel the straps off the sides and tuck them inside the lid.

i wpould leave it on , that is part of the allure, like a cigar box------------there is no personality if the sticker is gone--I might even go as far as removing the soap from the bowl and use it as a spare change bowl---- but if it is as resilient as my older C&E bowl, and i believe they are all made by the same company- it will withstand cracking for many years. my 2 cents

I once thought of removing the label, but it seemed like a lot of trouble. So I left it on, and I'm glad I did. It's distinctive.

This is what I did when I had mine.
I feel stupid for starting this thread after the problem I had with this soap this morning using it for the first time. After swirling a wet brush on this soap there was a lather explosion. Lather everywhere. It reminded me of the brady bunch episode with the laundry detergent. At first the wood bowl seemed so reserved and sophisticated and I got caught up withe presentation. Now I couldn't care less about the sticker or even if the wood rots. I am just going to have a ton of fun with this super soap over the next few months. Also to add, my shave was terrific and I am sure i didn't even use the soap properly as it takes me several shaves to properly dial in to a new soap so my shaves will get better.

Thats the ticket!

The bowl won't rot, it'll just wear gracefully. This one has been in service for two years.
