Another question regarding preferences. When I signed up I was encouraged to ask questions. Those of you that use TTO razors, whether all the time or some of the time, do you prefer the adjustable type or non-adjustable type? Just trying to get an idea of what people use and what they like and dislike.

Again, both. My favorite non-adjustables are the 40's Aristocrat and the Red Tip. Adjustables are my go to razors, again rotating between Fat Boys, Slims and Supers. Once in a while I'll use my Toggle too.

Boy, this is personal preference. My favorite razor is my '47 SuperSpeed. I use the adjustables too, a '60 Fatboy. I get good shaves from both and like the fact that I can dial up or down, depending on which part of my face I'm shaving. What makes you think you will only have one? You talking about Gillettes? Get both and see.

I learned DE shaving with a fixed head razor (a Merkur HD), but eventually I switched to an adjustable (Gillette Slim Adjustable) because the only way I can do ATG blade buffing on my upper lip without weepers is with the Slim Adjustable dialed down to 1. I have it on 4 for the rest of the shave.
I started with TTO. I tried Adjustable and prefer non-adjustable. Adjustables are great if you like a different setting between passes. I didn't like it, I thought it should be blade in and shave.
I now use 3 pieces razors and love them better. I could use a TTO again but my preference is 3 pieces.

At the end of the day I prefer my 1955 Superspeed (silver tip) - that's not to say that I don't get great shaves with theFatboy, Slim Adjustable, Super Adjustable, Tech, Red Tip Superspeed, 1940s Superspeed, SlimTwist or any of the others I forgot I have... the 1955 Superspeed seems to suit my facial geometry (and over the top of my head too) the best of them - sure I'll go off and try others but I keep coming back to this one.

I have 3 TTO's (40's SS, '55 Red Tip, and a Gold Aristocrat) and none of them are adjustable. They all shave a little differently from one another (but not as much as you might think), and I love them all. I have not yet been tempted to get an adjustable.

long handle super adj by gillette and schick de razors are my choices. and I think my favorite is really the schick.
