I recently received their Oxford & Cambridge soap. The scent is fabulous and intoxicating. Admittedly, I'm more of a cream person but this shaving soap is top notch. I love it!

Great soap.
Always am looking at this soap, I will certainly have to try this at some point.
I love the C&S No. 88 scent and the lather is top notch. I will pick some Oxford & Cambridge at some point.
I used a puck earlier this year and it was a fantastic soap. I believe that "88" is just as good.
I'm a fan of no 88. Pity, that the soap is virtually unavailable.

Bullgoose stocks C&S
I was hesitant because of the price tag, but C&S makes a great shaving soap. Both scents perform equally well, but my favorite is Oxford and Cambridge. I also noticed that Bullgoose is now stocking a version with a black wooden bowl. I wonder if it's just a plain wooden bowl or if there is some sort of design or imprint on it. Does anybody know?

You can purchase just the soap. That's what I did.
The bowl is just a plain wooden bowl, but a very nice one. From what I remember Phil saying, the bowl has no "affiliation" with C&S; he just found that it fit the puck perfectly so started offering it as an option. The C&S puck is a little smaller in diameter than most soaps and the bowl fits it pretty well.

$160 bucks....for a puck of soap in an aluminum dish...Er,......no thank you. No offense to those claiming it's virtues but I thought $80 for my AdP was waaaaaaay overboard. I'll pass at that price.
There are cheaper ways to get the C&S soaps - for example, get the full size one without the bowl or get the travel size which is a fraction of the price of the large size soap with bowl.
I got hold of the sampler pack of C&S scents and love the Oxford & Cambridge. There would have to be a serious price reduction before I purchased the soap though.

You need to get off the front page- that is the one in the silver anodized bowl. The wooden bowl (which will be the way I get it) is $53. The puck alone is $38.

Just ordered a travel bowl, three replacement soaps and an AS of N 88. Just love that scent.
Ok - that's better... Was expecting it to be wrapped in unicorn feathers at the other price...
