have any of you ever tried melting down glycerin soap and making your own soap mold? perhaps a disney character made out of col conks or smiley face?

I melt mine into likenesses of Joel and Nick.
Not making my own mould's but there are quite a few out there on the *bay and I have made some nice personalised soaps for the cost of a couple of quid ($5?) for the moulds. I see the guy I usually buy off now has some round mould's that would fit a soap dish with the the word "SHAVE" on them ..... mmmmm

do you guys buy traditional baking molds, like the kind they might use for cookies? just wondering how easy it is to remove the soap once it hardens
Nope, soap moulds, made of some kind of silicon/plastic, if you look on *bay to find some then just let your mouse do the walking to search all the different suppliers, never had a soap stick to a mould yet (touch wood)
You can buy a wide variety of pre-made moulds at a Hobby Store such as Hobby Hobby or Michaels
