When I was in the Navy I met a man Sadun Parlar who owns Sultan Pipes in Ankara, Turkey. He was a regular vendor on our two deployments to the middle east and I bought a pipe, and a cigarette holder from him, as well as some smaller pipes to give to friends at home. He even gave me a couple of small blocks of meerschaum as I had expressed so much interest in his work. As our deployment in 2010 winded down I asked him to make me an Oddfellows pipe (yes I am an Oddfellow), and never heard from him again until last week. He has been looking for me, apparently quite vigorously, for two years. I will not receive the pipe for a bit, but here are the pics he sent me.

I will admit to being slightly underwhelmed as I had given him a few pics as refference for ideas, but the FLT motif is the accepted symbol of the IOOF and he does do such a fantastic job. It's not available from anyone else as a stock item, so all in all I gotta say, I like it.

:red_indian: Looking forward to a few draws off this peace pipe.

Not sure what you asked for, but it looks pretty nice to me.

I was hoping he would include a little more of the symbols I had given him. Here are some links for reference.

You will notice that the three rings are a constant, but some of the other symbols would have been nice. Especially considering how much it cost me.
