Crystals - Not all they're cracked out to be...?

This is certainly the opinion i am forming of these blades. This morning was the 2nd shave with one of these blades and it certainly wasn't as comfortable as the Supermax or Red IP's IMHO! They seem to me to be more akin to Derby's - at least the results i get from them! My face has been feeling slightly uncomfortable all day!

I am now unsure whether to palm strop and go for a 3rd try with this blade tomorrow, try another from the same pack (i guess it is feasible that this was a dud :confused2) or just move onto another brand in the sampler.

Thoughts gents?

Cheers for your time,

TOny.

They really are nice blades, at a very reasonable price, but they don't go well with some razors, as is the case with all blades. I wouldn't even put them in the same league as Derbys let alon the same ball-park, however. If you aren't digging the one you're using right now, grab a new one. at 13cents a pop, it's hardly worth worrying about cost.

Palm strop? Toss it. Let's just say these blades aren't for everyone. I found them to be very dull and not nearly sharp enough for my beard. Some people like them though.

I've used 3 or 4 out of my WCS sample pack and they were great. I chose to order 100 Red IP's because they were a couple dollars cheaper but would like to eventually buy a small amount, maybe 50, from someone.

This was the first blade I used about a month ago, and I had to do four passes to get all the hair off my face. Definitely not what I was looking for.

My experience, using the Crystal in my SS - the shaves got smoother after the first and I got 4 shaves out of mine. I wanted to get a 5th but I have too many blades to try out. I like em.
