I have recently switched from disposable cartridges to double edge razors and I must admit to being slightly lost though I'm working at it. The double edge takes me about twice as long to shave my face and head but I'm pretty committed to the switch and am still working on a combination that works for me. I have been using cryogenically frozen disposables and felt they were WELL WORTH it but since I knew nothing about wet shaving I'm not sure how long a blade should be lasting or anything about what brand to use.
I ran into the woman that runs cryoblades.com locally (part of what prompted my switch) and ended up buying a pack of every blade she was selling but since I have no baseline or even clue which blade works best for me (can you give me an idea as to the advantages/disadvantages of each) I'm wondering if any of you have any input on the subject or have used them? Their ebay store which you can find at that link is the only source of info I can really find on the topic and would like to know if anybody else has any input?
Also, do you know of a good totally scent free shave soap and is the 9306 an okay starter safety razor? I don't get a super smooth shave and find myself having slight razor burn after, is there something else that's gentle and good for a beginner that offers a good shave or am I just increasing my chance of cutting myself?
