Creams/Soaps or Other Prep Advice

Looking for Shaving Cream/Soap advice.

My hair is fairly fine - Gray/Blond - so lifting and softening is probably not important.

I shave then shower - while I'm old enough to be set - I could change. I shower after because I perfer a clean face w/o fragrance chemicals on my face the rest of the day.

I have no real desire for a BBS - because of my hair color don't have problems with 5 o'clock shawdow. I do like even consistency - no rough spots or all over roughness - doesn't matter.

Any soap/cream brands or other prep recommendations to try.

Starting out I'd keep it simple... Van der Hagen Deluxe and some generic Witch Hazel afterword should serve you well.

Kiss My Face products may be available locally (try the health food store). They're pretty inexpensive, and the shaving cream is GREAT!

I've had very good luck with Col. Conk's glycerin soap. If you don't care for any smells at all just any store brand witch hazel, and you're set to go. If you'd like an AS or balm after all is done, you can use whatever you prefer.
