What's new

Cracked lid.

I have a tub of TOBS Lemon/Lime that rarely gets used. Today I decided to use it, for a change of pace, and noticed the lid has a big crack in it, almost going the whole way round. Also, the cream has condensed and sunk in the tub; it's almost like a soft soap. Do I have to worry about losing valuable cream if I leave it as is?

Incidentally, I had a great shave with it. Maybe I'll stick with it for the time being...

If it dries out, you can rehydrate it and transfer it to another container. I had a tub of Coates that I had to do that way, or you could just treat it like a soap as mentioned above.

The downside you face is the loss of the fragrance. Rehydration won't be an issue but scent will. I keep an old empty tub on hand for the rare instance of a container failure. Absent that, I would transfer the cream to a cheap resealable container. Be a shame to degrade the scent needlessly.

So far the fragrance is still there....think I'll keep using it as is, lest it sit on the shelf and collect more dust!

To clarify, the crack is on the side of the lid, the part that latches on to the tub...

Thanks!
