Could the Gillette Guard be modified to be a fixed head razor?

Rather than the very freely pivoting head with which it has been made.

Quite easily. A drop of diluted glue on one side. Just enough to fix the head, not enough that it can't be removed.

Well I have ordered a couple of handles and a few dozen cartridges from India so I will see what I can do with them when they arrive.

There are limiting notches molded into the head. If you super glue small blocks on the handle to hold the head in place, you eliminate the pivoting action. Don't connect the arms of the handle or they won't be able to squeeze together for head changing.
