Cotton Facial Cleansing Pads

Does anyone else use the cotton facial cleansing pads to apply witch hazel after a shave? I've been doing it ever since I started DE shaving but no matter how good my shave is, I keep getting pieces of the pad stuck on my face (especially the neck). Its those little patches of stubble that really latch on!

I have to wait about 2 minutes and then I keep swiping my face with my bare hand to get rid of the cotton. I then apply after shave balm.

Should I skip the cotton pads and put the witch hazel directly in my hands....use it as a splash? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I do it both ways. Occasionally there is some cotton that sticks to my face, but not usually. If it does, it wipes right off. I buy the round formed "pads", as opposed to cotton balls. I think they hold together a little better.

I use a cotton pad, but i always wipe with the grain of my hair growth. No matter how BBS my face feels, ill get a little cotton stuck to my face if i go ATG.

I would also suggest the round cotton cosmetic pads. I believe you might want to look for the ones that are slightly textured on one side.

I goggled a pict, it's been awhile since I bought them, (use to buy them to paint dolls) and I got some of the ones that didn't have that covering and they were a mess to deal with.
