Or is it a gold Senator?

Or is it a solid bar gold razor like an Aristocrat like what Mr Razor shows?

I'm thinking there must've been different years/models. The one from the Wiki here is the same as a Senator (nickle plate, open comb).

The one you show looks very much like an Aristocrat. I remember (vaguely) a thread Achim did a month or two ago, where either some confusion on the matter was created or cleared up (again, I said the memory was vague ).

I will, Chris. I've had a Senator/Regent Tech with no home now for the longest time. It's a beautiful razor which I thought I spent too much for it at the time but it seems that inflation has hit the used razor market pretty hard. Now I think that price was a bargain. But the cases, or box, are pretty rare and hard to find.

By the way did you ever find your Empire?

Sorry for a minor thread hijack, but interesting story I think. I got my Empire in a lot. What drew me to the small pic was a razor in a Sheraton case. I already had a Sheraton case, but this one looked better. Thought it was an ABC in the case, but was really surprised when it turned out to be a gold Empire! Can't even recall what others were there, but the lot was $29 I think. A Super Speed or two were in there I'm pretty sure...
