Concentrating Fragrances

I have written before on here about my fondness for Brut, I really love the scent and the pleasant memories that I associate with it. I have recently started to expand my fragrance collection with some classics like Guerlain Vetiver and YSL Rive Gauche but I still feel a hankering for my old Brut. The problem is the stuff on sale these days is so weak that it's almost pointless. I have two different EDT's and neither seem to last longer than an hour to an hour and a half at the most, it is a bit of a shame I could save a fortune if I could get a more concentrated Brut.
My question to all the fragrance experts on here is this: Is there a way to concentrate a fragrance? If I was to leave a bottle without the top on would the alcohol dissipate leaving a more concentrated fragrance? Perhaps adding perfume oil would be the way to go, I have noticed websites that sell oils in the style of available fragrances. It would be great if I could get a more concentrated Brut I could keep the fancier stuff in my collection for the weekends!

It could be the fragrance, but it could also be your skin's dryness. I suggest two things:

- Try using a stronger strength (volume) of fragrance. Buy a parfum or extrait strength and use that for a bit.
- If it's still not lasting, try applying a good, unscented (if possible) moisturiser on the area that you normally apply scent to. Do this a few minutes before applying the fragrance to allow the moisturiser to dry a bit.
- You could of course try a third thing and that is to spray a bit on your clothes rather than your skin.

you can't let the alcohol evaporate since the scent compounds are just as volatile, the smell would evaporate along with the alcohol.

I'm not sure but I've heard theres a cheap version for drugstores and an original perfume type version you can still get. Have you tried the brut that comes in a glass bottle with the metal label? For some reason I seem to recall someone saying it was way more concentrated and better smelling

It always seems to me that some Creeds get stronger over time, but I wouldn't know how to advance the process.

Like Tehtimmeh said above, buy some Sartorial...whack yourself with 4-5 sprays and you'll reek of classic fougere for days.

Yeah I've got both the European EDT in the squarish bottle and the medallion bottle, I would say the medallion bottle lasts longer but it's still relatively weak. I would personally say the smell of the European EDT is a little better but it's so weak it would need to be constantly re-applied.
As for sartorial, I am currently in the grip of a moderate to severe fragrance acquisition disorder so any suggestion to me is like a red rag to a bull, I will be seriously looking into getting a bottle! My only problem is I have just purchased a bottle of Fred Hayman's Touch which I read on here was a longer lasting Brut, unfortunately it isn't to my nose. Having said that it is pleasant enough in its own right but it would be a shame to get my hopes up again with the sartorial only to find another imposter! My search continues...

I just sent in an order and noticed that Archerfire has both Sartorial and English Fern available for decants. Both are great, EF is more traditional and similar to Brut, Sartorial a modern take on the genre. And Archerfire is a great guy to deal with
