Clubman Special Reserve After Shave Cologne

On a just-concluded trip to Indy, I came upon a barber shop selling Clubman Special Reserve. This is my first bottle. I love it. Can I get some help on what I am smelling? I think I get some vanilla up front, but it fades fast. So, Clubman fans, what is this scent I love.

I've wanted to try the SR ever since I first saw it. I just ordered some yesterday, so I can't offer my opinion yet, but I keep hearing it described as leathery. Old books, baseball mitt, leather chairs at a men's club type of scent. I can't wait for it to come!

It works for me. My only problem now with ASAD...I have so many good AS's, I wear them all.

...and soon you'll be "smelling good" my shaving friend (my scent of choice is Citrus Musk [which I 'fortify' with 2oz Royall Lymes per 6oz bottle for that 'extra long-lasting' scent!]).

However, although this scent (and other Clubman products), can be 'drying', the addition of about 10 drops of glycerin per 6oz bottle greatly increases the moisturizing and toning aspects plus 'kicks' this eau de cologne 'up a notch'!.

Oh, ha, forgot why I came here. Just finished an evening shave, which I call a recreational shave. I finished up, looked around my Shave Den and my eyes locked on it. The Clubman had my attention, and it was just so good. Wow! Well, now it's time to go add this to my signature. Gents, good night, and adieu.
