Walker Briar works made me one for a MM cob, and I know he can make one for your Nording, although you will need to send it in for a fitting.

Thanks! I think most pipe makers will make one, but I chose Walker because he makes so many, and he has good customer service. He sent me a straight stemmed cob instead of a bent by mistake, and he sent me the right one he next day and let me keep the straight stemmed one too.

I have a pipe with a broken stem. While I love the bowl, I doubt the cost of a new stem will be worth it when the pipe brand new was like $25.

Well, that is one way to look at it. Another is to realize that you now have a free bowl to attach to a nice new stem that is nicer than the stem you are replacing!

Boswell pipes also make some custom stems
he is a little pricey, on repairs and such, the stem i want might be around 45.00, then shipping to and fro will be 15.00
So, i it might just be worth getting a whole new CW pipe, because my Nording still works, and spending 60.00 just on a "want" , i got a heck of a deal on a new Savinelli CW for 61.00- I think i will just bide my time, something will pop up

fair enough i know my brother had a churwarden stem made and the fit was perfect, he does do good work, He may be pricey, ur right
I just wish i could afford one of his bent nosewarmers

I'll second what Kentos said. Walker Briar Works. They can do just about anything including transferring makers marks and emblems to your new stem. Great people and great service.

Here's my Cob-warden with a Walker Forever Stem.

Beautiful. I never thought a corn cob pipe would make me say that, but this one looks super spiffy. Sure, my Country Gentleman looks pretty nice on its own... but this is a notch above.

walker told me to kick dirt, no special orders on other manufactureres pipe, he is too busy on the corns, --i just got me another sanvinelli Church warden and a comoy

Wow, I'm shocked. Really shocked. I'm going to have to ask him what's up next time I talk to him.

Isn't the repair/restoration part of the business handled by someone else now? I seem to recall reading they had handed that part off to a partner or something...

Yeah, if you need work done to the pipe, but the way I'm reading it he just wants a stem made. Maybe I'm behind the times on this, I guess. LOL

it appears there is another link but the whole site is not clear, it does not even show briar stems examples

I had stem replaced last week at David's in Des Moines. I meant to post a picture. It was a little basket pipe that I forgot was in my pocked. He has done regular stem replacements for $18 and this church warden was $25.
