hey bros, i need a good source, i was thinking of fitting my Nording signature with a sweet CW stem , decents prices thanks
i emailed him earlier, he seemed very nice . the other day I figured thats where you got your stem from, i saw it on one of your posts , sweet cobb----Walker Briar works made me one for a MM cob, and I know he can make one for your Nording, although you will need to send it in for a fitting.
Well, that is one way to look at it. Another is to realize that you now have a free bowl to attach to a nice new stem that is nicer than the stem you are replacing!I have a pipe with a broken stem. While I love the bowl, I doubt the cost of a new stem will be worth it when the pipe brand new was like $25.
he is a little pricey, on repairs and such, the stem i want might be around 45.00, then shipping to and fro will be 15.00Boswell pipes also make some custom stems
I'll second what Kentos said. Walker Briar Works. They can do just about anything including transferring makers marks and emblems to your new stem. Great people and great service.
Here's my Cob-warden with a Walker Forever Stem.
walker told me to kick dirt, no special orders on other manufactureres pipe, he is too busy on the corns, --i just got me another sanvinelli Church warden and a comoy
Wow, I'm shocked. Really shocked. I'm going to have to ask him what's up next time I talk to him.
Isn't the repair/restoration part of the business handled by someone else now? I seem to recall reading they had handed that part off to a partner or something...
slow down palsy, he did not actually tell me to kick dirt , but he did firmly said he is too busy to take custom requestsWow, I'm shocked. Really shocked. I'm going to have to ask him what's up next time I talk to him.
just a stem, i told him i did not even need to send the pipe, i would just give him the mm size------Yeah, if you need work done to the pipe, but the way I'm reading it he just wants a stem made. Maybe I'm behind the times on this, I guess. LOL
it appears there is another link but the whole site is not clear, it does not even show briar stems examplesIsn't the repair/restoration part of the business handled by someone else now? I seem to recall reading they had handed that part off to a partner or something...
