Cheap blades from India

I can't see anything in this article which suggest that. But maybe I'm missing something. Or maybe it's a different interpretation of the concept of "shortly".

500 million Indians shave with DE razors. If the Guard converts 50% of them, that leaves 250 million DE shavers who need blades. If Gillette doesn't make them, somebody else will. I doubt Indian made razor blades are going away "shortly" or even "down the road".

Read the whole thing and i am not gonna lie I want to try the guard.
The replacement blades seem economical too.
Hmmm you think some one could make one out of stainless
Then feather could develop a blade and the cost....well never mind that's just crazy.
But seriously I might have to troll eBay looking for one

eBay
Gillette guard razors
2 razors plus 16 refills
For 11.50 free shipping.
So if the razor comes with one each
18 blades for 11.50 roughly 0.64 cents each

I won't worry until the Russians stop making blades...and then there's my current love...the Feather.

Indian Greens are my favorite blade, so I hope the prediction is wrong. And, as The Dean said, I doubt that Indian-made DE blades will be disappearing anytime soon.

I already have a lifetime supply of blades and then some. If the Indian companies will stop making them maybe I will step in to quench the Indian market desire for blades.

Interesting article from Yahoo Financial page.
Cheap Indian razor blades may shortly become extinct.

Thanks... This is an excellent article. A half-billion adult shavers is a real market opportunity for P&G, and they're not slouches in grabbing market share either. I guess it's time to stock up on a few more blades before the prices inflate to much more or more brands become unobtainable.

All that has to happen is for Gillette to grease some political palms and our DE razors will become illegal under the ACA. No more staph infections, cuts, nicks, etc......the gubmet will protect you, just sign here.

If the Indian markets disappear, I guess I'll just have to buy blades from Russia, Japan, Israel, etc...

The only Indian blade I really like anyway is the Indian Wilkie, and I wouldn't care too much one way or another if they didn't exist anymore.

I'm not sure political ramblings are proper for this forum. With that said, ACA has nothing to do with regulating products. Nice try, though.
