Awhile back I posted my findings on several very inexpensive,but good russian aftershaves I purchased from cosmeticsbag.com....I had not visited their site in quite sometime,so I decided to see what's new there...lots !! I ended up with a 105 ml. bottle of chamomile "toner",a 68% alc. a/s with a little skin nourishment added...very nice smell,I drink chamomile tea all the time..I was expecting that tea scent,dry hay type of aroma,no...it is a nice spicy blend,clean and dry,not feminine at all....works great after a nice shave...next up,"carnation" ,and what a shocker this one is...as soon as I applied it,wonderful memories of a woman I knew in the 60's who always wore rogers&gallet "blue gardenia" popped up......this is a really close copy ! deep mysterious carnation..very "bleu"...not feminine ! 85ml. bottle,80.2 % alc. great after the shave...this one is in a square thick bottle,the chamomile,a thick glass cylinder....next up lemon splash,and this one is a dead ringer for the turkish "duru" lemon a/s ,at a much much lower price,clean crisp true lemon,128 ml. beautiful thick glass bottle that has embossed glass ribbing on the backside....81% alc.....last ,same bottle same proof,but this one is a very refreshing bergamot ! not a cheap chemical fake,but a really nice dry bergamot citrus scent...all the bottles have plastic color co-ordinated caps,and the larger bottles come in a nice box...here's the clincher...the chamomile and carnation = $3 a bottle !!! the larger bottles of lemon and bergamot...$6 bucks a bottle !!! shipping ??? $4.99 !!! what a steal,all of these are vastly superior to the perfume-cologne type knock offs they also sell,those work fine and are also a good value,but these take the cake...undiscovered treasures !!
