Charles' Activator & Cutting Balm...

Has anyone ever tried to make their own version of Charles' Activator and Cutting Balm? The Activator works terrific for me for a final, gloss cut, and I have been trying (without success, yet) to "reinvent the wheel" so to speak.

Anyone else try? Results? Ideas?

I've never used any of the Method products, so I could be wrong here, but I've watched a few of the videos and I think I do something similar to the cutting balm.

After your last pass your face my look clean but I find if I wet my hands and just rub them around my face I can get a very slick substance going with whatever residue is left (I think this might be a bit like "stretching the mix"). I think this might be similar to the cutting balm. It makes it easier to go and do the touch up stuff.

Again though, I'm using creams and not all natural products, etc. And I've never been a method shaver.
