Change of (Bird) Seasons

The robins have returned. Soon the snow birds will head north.

Squirrels are jerks. Birds are awesome.

Birds are family. Every morning I feed the cat, and then the titmouses, chickadees, cardinals ... and an extra 40% for the house finches.

House-eaters (squirrels) seem to get eaten by something around here.

I’ve seen such an uptick of birds it’s so nice. We don’t maintain feeders anymore due to well rats. Lol. Before that it was skunks. I hear tell of bald eagles in the area recently my goal is to see and photograph one. My only other close encounter was a year or two ago I spotted one soaring low ...
Over a cvs. I spotted it just before I got to the door.. Lol. Not kidding. It was a majestic sight to be sure.
