Cedar Scent

This is a bit of a random one to ask however;
I used to do archery and made my own arrows from Port Orford Cedar and loved the smell of the stuff. In fact I ended up with close to 100 arrows at one point as I got a little carried away when making a couple of batches as the smelled awesome and the process was kind of therapeutic.

Are there any Colognes/Aftershaves which use cedar as a main scent? I've noticed on some reviews that a cedar smell is noted as an undertone but I would like to find something where it features quite heavily in the scent.

Cheers,
Si

I've been using Denim Original AS splash recently and cedar seems to be the main component of the fragrance. It's not very long lived however.

Gucci has a predominant cedar note. Be careful to get the right one. It comes in a box with a small checked pattern. A very smooth cedar

Dirty English is another, with a more "raw" cedar scent.

I thought L'Occitane's Cedar(Cedre) was a little too feminine, but there's also:

Tumulte Pour Homme
Penhaligon's Opus 1870
Terre d'Hermes by Hermes
Gucci Pour Homme (Like Randy said, this is the first GPH in the gold and black check, not blue and silver and not "Gucci by Gucci pour homme" )

Hope this helps.

If you really want cedar, try "The Shave Den Store". They have cedar alone, or you could ask JoAnna to mix you something personal. I have a sample of the aftershave milk in cedar with menthol added (iced), and it smells exactly like it sounds. Reminds me of woodshop in school! Actually too pure cedar for me, but I still use it occasionally....very strong cedar scent! Go to the 'Shave Den Forum' and click on the "store" link.

You can also try Cedarwood Tea from CB I Hate Perfume. Plenty of cedar in that one. (If you decide to try it, get the oil-based scent. It lasts much longer than the water-based one.)

I occasionally wear Givenchy Vetyver. It is a great vetiver fragrance, but it also has a strong cedar note.
