Castle Forbes plus preshave oil?

Hello, Everyone. Shaved with Castle Forbes Lavender this morning for the first time. What a slick comfortable shave. Even better than TOBS Avocado. The blade truly glided, even ATG! I read that it has Lavender Oil in it already. I shaved this morning with Truefitt & Hill preshave oil as well as the Castle Forbes. I'm torn on whether to lose the oil and just use the cream tomorrow morning. I'm afraid to try it without the oil and having the shave be subpar, (I get razor burn and ingrown hairs around the neck area without oil when I use TOBS). Anyone with experience???
