Cast Iron problem

My wife and I pretty much only use cast iron cook ware. There is no better way to cook. But a problem we have is in regards to our white oven/range top. We always get these brownish greasy rings around the perimeter of the flame that is a pain to get off. The bottom of the skillets get the when needed scrub which is rare and the occasional oil swipe. Any tips.

A staple in my kitchen as well.

That stuff is awesome, so the brown ring is just something to deal with then? No prevention tips?

Couldnt tell you what they are. Maybe a buildup of the grease or seasoning on the bottom of the pan? No clue...but enjoy the CI

I married a meat and potatoes country girl. She came complete with charm, and cast iron frying pan. So far, it has not been applied to my head! Only placed on a stove.

She's taught me many things! The genius of cast iron cooking being one of them.

yea C I is kinda messy expeshaly when the pan is like 40yo but you know what those are the best ones.. i have no idea how to prevent the staining though.

I don't know if there's any way to prevent this from happening other than lining the outer ring around the burner with aluminum foil. But, I'm sure that won't be very attractive.
