Case Tadpole Pocketknife

Got this knife as a gift yesterday.

It is a Tadpole with the "Case Tested XX" markings which makes it pretty old.

Still undecided on whether to carry it or put it up as a keepsake.

Put it in a display, but don't use it! The new Case knives are pretty darn good so I'd just buy one of those who daily carrying, this one looks like a collectible.

I never put a knife away. There are those that are always with me as EDC, like my SOFCK or Spyderco barong, but all my knifes get use, no matter the price.
Looking at it never will impart soul. That may seem a little spiritual, but hell, it's the truth. This one cut a cigar at a reunion, that one skinned my first bow killed blacktail. The Old-Timer that was my grandpa's knife, sharped to death.
Every one gets a ride now and then.
Brent.

Thanks gents.

I may use it as a weekend carry knife/light use. I use my Victorinox for everyday and I wouldn't wanna risk losing the old Case at work.

According to a guy I showed it to it was made sometime in the mid to late 1920's......so roughly the same age as my razor which I use everyday :biggrin1:

Very cool. I also say use it. It's a tool, so, imo, using it is the best way to honor it and its maker.
