For people who have used both the Flared and Rounded edges of the Captain's Choice Copper bowls, do they differ at all in actual usage or it just an aesthetic difference?

For me it was entirely the look that swayed me. I have only used the rolled edge Lather Bowl and I was lucky enough to get one in the first batch that came out.

The main difference is the flared edge model is made from heavier gauge copper. The rolled edge adds stiffness to the standard weight model. The heavyweight bowl material is too thick for it to be rolled into the tight radius used on the standard model. It does not need stiffening since the material is quite thick and sturdy without it.

Rolled edge standard bowl weight = 6 ounces
Flared edge heavyweight bowl weight = 10 ounces
